What is an AI idea validation tool?
An AI idea validation tool scores a startup or business idea against the questions investors and experienced founders ask: is the problem real, who has it, who already solves it and will anyone pay. startupconcept.ai gives you a free first read in seconds, then a full report built from a guided interview across 10 areas and live web research: competitors with their prices, real customer complaints and monthly Google search volumes, each with a source link. It ends with a go/no-go verdict and a 7-day plan to test demand with real customers. It replaces days of desk research, not the customer conversations that prove an idea.

Live data
Evidence, not guesses
Most AI validators answer from what the model remembers. Every full report checks the live web when it runs, and every finding has a link you can open.
Competitors found on the web
Real companies customers use today, with their website and current public price. Including the ones you named, checked.
What real customers say
Posts and reviews from Reddit, forums and app stores where people describe the problem or complain about current options.
Real Google searches
Monthly searches for the phrases your customers would use, with the 12-month trend: rising, steady or falling.
Example: an itinerary planner for flight travellers
The founder's own search phrase gets a fraction of the demand of a broader one, and one niche is shrinking. You only see this with real data.
| Search phrase (US) | Searches / month | Last 12 months |
|---|---|---|
| trip itinerary planner | 4,400 | Steady |
| self transfer flight | 1,300 | Falling: 1,900 in January, 880 in September |
| multi city flight planner | 140 | Steady, but advertisers compete hard for it |
Google Ads monthly search volumes via DataForSEO, checked October 2026. Market sizes and forecasts in reports are AI estimates and are labelled that way.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a free AI idea validator?
Yes. The first read on this page is free and needs no signup: describe your idea and you get a short read of it, 2 strengths and the 2 biggest questions to answer, in about 10 seconds. The full report, with all 10 areas, competitors, pricing and a 7-day test plan, uses 10 credits; packs start at $19.99.
Can AI tell me if my business idea is good?
As a first pass, yes. AI is good at structured desk research: spotting weak assumptions, likely competitors and risks, and suggesting what to test. It can't know whether your customers will pay your price, so use the score to decide what to test, then confirm demand with interviews, a landing page with a real price and pre-orders.
How does startupconcept.ai validate an idea?
You describe the idea and get a free first read. For the full report, a 10-question interview covers problem, customer, market, competitors, your edge, pricing, channels and your evidence so far, with suggestions when you're not sure. You check what we understood, then the research checks the live web: competitors and their prices, what real customers post about the problem, and monthly Google searches, each with a link. The 10 areas are scored against that evidence, so you get one score and verdict, in about 3–5 minutes.
How accurate is an AI idea validation?
Treat it as a well-structured first opinion backed by real data where it can be. Competitors, customer posts and Google search volumes are checked on the live web when your report runs, with links you can open. Scores, market sizes and revenue forecasts are AI estimates and are labelled that way. Only customers can prove demand, so the report ends with a 7-day test, and you can update your score with the results.
How much does it cost?
The first read is free. A full report uses 10 credits. Credit packs are one-time payments: $19.99 for 30 credits, $39.99 for 80 credits, $99.99 for 250 credits. There is no subscription.
Do credits expire?
No. Credits never expire, and reports you've generated stay in your account with their share links and PDF export.
What if I don't have a business idea yet?
Use the startup idea generator. It asks about your skills, budget, weekly time and risk tolerance and returns 3 ideas with a target market, startup cost and revenue scenarios. You can then validate the one you like.
Is my idea kept confidential?
Yes. Your ideas aren't shown to other users or sold. They are sent to our AI providers, Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI, only to run your interview, research the web and write your report; neither uses data sent through its API to train its models by default. To look up search volumes, only the search phrases (not your idea description) are sent to our data provider, DataForSEO.
